Superintendent Dr. David J. Peterson's March Letter
Dear Scottsdale Unified School District (SUSD) Family,
Every month we reflect on how much we have to celebrate and so much of that celebration is thanks to you. Our Maintenance and Operations Override passed because of our community support, guaranteeing more dollars to the classroom. As a result we will lower class sizes by three, restore full day Wednesday and “specials” (Art, Music, PE), as well as band and strings, in our elementary schools. Of course, that means we need more teachers. Right now, SUSD is in the midst of recruiting and hiring 60 new, highly qualified teachers. All of this is possible because you are behind us—thank you!
